As Copy Director at Emergence Creative, Nick gives voice to big ideas that serve the common good. Throughout his career, he’s developed campaigns for housing justice with the United Nations, built digital movements for LGBTQ equity in the US, led marketing efforts for major benefit concerts, and more. Previously, he was the Senior Copywriter at Purpose—a creative agency where he developed bold concepts and narrative visions for brands working to achieve positive, lasting change. Before that, he was the Director of Communications at Cyndi Lauper's True Colors United, an organization he helped build from the ground up since 2013. In my role at True Colors United, I had the pleasure of directing the marketing strategy for Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays annual benefit concert for 8 years. Historically held in person at New York’s historic Beacon Theatre, the show has grown into a time-honored NYC tradition. In 2020, we held our final show safely via livestreams on Tiktok, YouTube, and Facebook. The silver lining? More people than ever were able to watch the show and support our cause to end LGBTQ youth homelessness.
